Kia’s medium sized Sports Utility Vehicle, has always been one of their most popular models. And in 2010, Kia hope the Sorento will have even more success. They have invested heavily in a make over and a range of new features that has greatly improved its performance and overall safety.

Not only does the Kia look marginally bigger, but its new look, I think is more impressive. However, the real improvement is it’s drive and handling. And its improved so much.

The Sorento comes in a choice of a two wheel drive or a four wheel drive. I’m in the diesel Si which is Kia’s entry level model. But believe me, it still has everything you need to make your drive safe and enjoyable.
You get full electrics, cruise control, climate control air conditioning and ipod compatible CD stereo system, which you can control from the steering wheel mounted controls and I love their three stage instrument cluster, its very cool!

The new look and styling of the new generation Sorento wont let you down either. It also comes with alloy wheels and its new clean look, is fresh and defined by just a touch of chrome and constant use of straight lines.

The new Kia may now be slightly larger, however it is far more fuel efficient. In the diesel you’ll get, 7.9/100k’s, which for its class is pretty good.

Both the interior and the exterior of the Kia are clean and fresh. I like that Kia never seem to over use material’s or have more buttons than are actually needed. They keep everything simple, which I think actually adds to the feeling of space. The exterior of the Sorento is much like the interior. Nothing has been over done and its design is very much an improvement.

The Sorento is actually a seven seater. The rear two seats are hidden in the back. The best thing is when you don’t need them, they fold flat. Giving you the option of more storage, when you need it or when required, more passenger capacity.
Side on the Sorento bears a large profile and its new look affords it an improved road presence. I’m confident that most would agree, its new look is very appealing and even more so slightly intimidating.

With smarter and more unique design, The Kia Sorento undoubtably raises expectations in affordable vehicles. The Sorento still has Kia’s five year unlimited kilometre new car warranty. Which should totally eliminate any doubt in its reliability.
