When it comes to cars, you wouldn't expect to get much for around $13,000.00 any more? Well thanks to Kia, you can get a whole car, and better still, you don't have to drop your expectations one bit.

Depending on the specifications you choose, you can drive away in the all new Kia Rio Hatch, for around $13,000.00. Now you may be thinking, its just a cheap, unreliable car, but if that were the case, why would Kia back it with a five year unlimited kilometre warranty?

Kia are now producing some of the most reliable and affordable vehicles available. The Kia Rio is very much evidence of that. The Rio is Kia’s small car and even so, it offers seating for you to five. The interior is quality woven cloth trim and is available in a choice of exciting colours.

The Rio is available in either a sedan or a hatch. I drove the smaller five door hatch. It is available in two models, the S and the Si. The Si comes with the larger petrol engine and just a couple of additional creature comforts. The S as I drove, comes with more than enough on board safety and comfort, to ensure you will be happy driving it.
You get dual front air bags, air conditioning, front electric windows, power mirrors, MP three compatible CD stereo system and its even bluetooth compatible.
To fit the Rio into a budget, some things get left out, like Alloys wheels and cruise control. But you still get a good set of tyre’s and smart looking wheel covers! And for a small car you get a big drive, but you get small fuel consumption. The Rio averages just 6.8l/100km, how good is that!
Kia have obviously invested heavily into the drive of the Rio. For a small car it feels extreemly firm on the road and when needed responds well. The new Rio is also slighlty bigger than the previous models, translating to more room inside the main cabin.

The Rio is a small car and being a small car its quiet thin, so to offer more comfort room to the front passangers, Kia have removed objects that they see as space wasters, like the middle storage compartment.  However, there is still enough on board storage, including large drink holders.

For a price conscious car,  its well finished. There’s a lot more room than you would think, and everything really does feel great. I’m convinced that the only way you are going to tell that the Rio is worth around $13,000.00 is when your told the price, because it drives and present, as a vehicle that is worth much more!
