As far as Perth icons go it doesn’t get much more iconic than Cottesloe Beach.
And to make sure Cottesloe is evolving to suit the changing needs of residents and visitors alike there are some exciting plans in the works that our friends at UDIA WA are keen to share.
We West Australians are extremely proud of the Cottesloe area, but that doesn’t mean things can’t be improved.
The instantly-recognizable Indiana Tea Rooms right on the sand is one of those locations that has been discussed for years and a new redevelopment proposal is currently in the works.
Cottesloe is a great example of an area that needs to evolve so that residents and visitors can enjoy such a fantastic location. The UDIA supports sustainable and high-quality development that enhances our spaces to make them more accessible and more enjoyable. The proposed redevelopment plans by developers Fiveight for this area could give us an amazing opportunity for that change we’ve been waiting for.
Smart development is crucial to grow with the times and not be outrun by them.
Fiveight have been working on a sustainable plan that they think could be the answer to Cottesloe’s needs into the future.
Their redevelopment plan is the result of careful consideration and discussion with stakeholders to make sure our beloved Cottesloe keeps its charm while continuing to offer something new for years to come.
If you haven’t visited Cott recently then you might want to head down soon because big changes are on the way, and we are excited!
