Recently, Holly looked around Amaroo village in Gosnells, which has been servicing the senior community for over 40 years. She went back there to take a closer look at their Residential Aged Care Facility – The Buckley Caring Centre.
Newly built, the Buckley Caring Centre is a wonderful and welcome addition to the village. It currently houses 92 and with the near completion of an additional wing it will house 128. The centre is perfect for villagers and people from the wider community who reach a stage where close and round the clock care is beneficial.
The centre has a beautiful design and a really friendly vibe. There’s lots of areas, like the dining room and lounge where residents can watch some TV or just catch up over a cup of tea.
The rooms are comfortable, modern and secure and there’s a large range of services and amenities available to residents including onsite chef cooked meals, physiotherapy, massage therapy and a hair salon. There’s a private dining room for family getherings, a library and also a gym.
Holly spoke with Amaroo Village CEO David Fenwick about how proud they are of the new facility and how well it’s going.
