When your lawn or garden may not be looking it’s best, it always pays to check that the reticulation system is working correctly. Even small faults or problems can cause significant over or under watering issues.
The problem is that diagnosing faults with your reticulation can be difficult, so Colin spoke with Steve Marten from Total Eden to find out what are some of the common faults or problems people have with their reticulation and how to fix them.
Some of these common problems included sprinklers that don’t pop up correctly, spray the wrong way or are broken or damaged. The good news is that these can issues can be easily fixed by replacing the sprinklers or the damaged or missing parts. Alternatively it may be that just a bit of simple maintenance is all that is required by our mates at Jim’s Mowing.
For blocked filters, broken nozzles or spray heads on lawn sprinklers the Pull up tool makes it simple to replace them. For smooth operation finish off by applying Pop-Up lube on the sprinkler shaft.
For grass growing around sprinklers and blocking them, cut the grass with a surround cutter and install a sprinkler surround to keep it clear. For broken sprinkler risers, the riser removal tool makes it so simple to replace them. Just push it in and twist.
