For those people who grow lillypillies there are two major pest problems that can seriously affect the growth of your plants and make them look unsightly psyllids and white wax scale.
Both problems were previously very difficult to control without regular spraying and this caused many growers of lillypillies to pull them out. But now there is a granular insecticide that will protect your plants from pests for up to six weeks. Richgro Bug Killa is taken up by the plant roots and enters into the plants sap stream killing any pests that feed on your lilypillies without the need to spray.
First scrape back any mulch and lightly moisten the soil surface. Measure the required quantity of granules; one cap holds 10g, which is ideal for controlling psyllids or scale on lillypillies up to 1 metre tall. In the garden spread the Bug Killa granules evenly around the drip zone of the plants or over the surface of your potted plants. Always water it in well after application to maximise contact with the plant roots.
