Jon Williams talks about the investor market and how things are picking up in Perth. Despite 2020 being a challenging year for most, there has been a silver lining for those in the property sector. Within the Agency they are seeing great results from the sales teams across the state…however what’s really caught the attention of investors from around the country is the WA rental market.
You see in the industry a stable vacancy rate normally sits at around 3%. Perth on the other hand has recently dropped as low as 1.6%. What that really means is that there just aren’t enough rental properties available in WA. To talk us through what’s happening out in the field, he spoke to Alison Ringuet from The Agency Property Management. Among other things, she reminded us of the importance of choosing the right property manager.
In recent years investors have generally been quite cautious in WA but with expats returning to WA and vacancy rates historically low, perhaps we are seeing a shift in the investor market?
