One of the most fundamental human rights for every single person is to have a home, somewhere to feel secure and a place to sleep. According to homelessness data, currently there are about 259 people sleeping rough in Perth CBD.
A number that’s simply far too high.
Minister Carey discusses what the government are doing to reduce this number and the effort being made to help WA’s most vulnerable people.
With much work required, it is clearly a long road ahead and significant resources needed to effectively manage the homelessness situation here in WA.
