The Green and the Sponsorship of the Seniors Week FREE movie Festival…
Bob: As you have heard I thought I’d get involved as I’m in the front man for THE GREEN and also in demographic and I see The Green sponsoring the Seniors Week Film Festival as giving something back to those of us in our mature years.
The Film Festival runs at the fabulous Backlot Cinema in West Perth and is going to be held on the 29th of October the start of Seniors week and then the following weekend the 4th and 5th of November.
Steve:
Can you tell me a bit about how people go about getting tickets for the Seniors Week Movie Festival?”
Bob:
It’s pretty straight forward, simple matter of getting the October edition of HAVE a GO NEWS, get the seniors week lift out inside and enter the competition to get some tickets.
My friends here at the Fairway Lifestyle Villages – The Green will run a short video at the start of each film letting everyone now about their project at THE GREEN ;-
It’s their home, they own it,
They can sell when they want – there are no exit fees,
If they sell they can choose their own agent,
They set their sale price, or hand it down to family…

Ok enough of the PLUG…
But back to the Movie Festival…what are the movies that will be featured?
Bob: One is ‘Loving Vincent’ which is an amazing film using the paintings of Vincent Van Gough to tell his life story.
The second film which will be screened on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November is Ben Elton’s first Australian film ‘Three Summers’. This comedy has been filmed in WA in the Peel and Mandurah area and stars some great ‘Aussie actors including Michael Caton, Magda Szubanski and Jon Waters. All entrants will also receive a choc bomb, bag of popcorn and an entry to the lucky door prize – it’ll be a great day at the movies!
